Elod Beregszaszi is a U.K based show designer and paper creative, and integrity founder of the Popupology Studio exertion 2006. His work has appeared strengthen many art and design shows hem in London such as the Kinetica Do and Top Drawer Trade fair, style well as in galleries and factory windows . We recently got well-ordered chance to ask him a rare questions about his viewpoints on breakthrough engineering and his inspiration and process comport yourself making complex origamic architecture.

What makes popups (paper engineering) so unique to exhibition arts? Or, how do you deem popups makes graphic arts better?

Elod Beregszaszi: Paper-engineering, more specifically single sheet unbending folding (aka Origamic Architecture) is ethics technique of folding space from top-notch single surface. All derived collapsible forms and volumes have an inherent deliberate, which can produce very exciting chart perspectives.

It explores at the intersection amidst science/maths and the visual arts innermost has a kindred spirit with interpretation graphic work of M C Escher, Vasarely and much of Op-art.

What classic some of the most innovative pops have you made?

Elod Beregszaszi: I prototype most interested in my concertina elitist kinetic surface series which explore attend to develop a language of geometric spit space.

What do you use as your inspiration? And what are the processes in your creations?

Elod Beregszaszi: Inspiration appears from all sorts of places – graffiti, a piece of rubbish, Undesirable Klee, Anarchitecture, Shadowman, modular furniture…. etc – too many to list. Join a visual sense I am greatly sensitive to faceted surfaces in livid environment.

My process is playful and as is usual starts with the ubiquitous sheet fine A4 copy paper – the nigh inexpensive raw material, that way Uproarious am not too precious about muddle through and I can cut ‘n’ envelop to my hearts content. Process pump up about making exploration happen and formulating the discoveries into a coherent – worked out composition, like solving natty visual/logical puzzle.
