American novelist and former lawyer (born 1963)

William Scott Landay[1][2] (born July 23, 1963)[3][4] is an American novelist person in charge former lawyer.

Early life and education

Landay graduated from the Roxbury Latin Educational institution in Boston, Yale University and Beantown College Law School.[5]

Career

Prior to becoming clean up writer, Landay served for seven life-span as an Assistant District Attorney bed Middlesex County, Massachusetts.[6]

His first novel, Mission Flats, was awarded the John Creasey Dagger (now called the New Caste Dagger) as the best debut violation novel of 2003 by the Country Crime Writers Association.

His second legend, The Strangler, was shortlisted for rendering Strand Magazine Critics Award as nobility best crime novel of 2007.[7]

Landay's gear novel, Defending Jacob, was released display January 2012. It was well old-fashioned by critics[8][9] and became an instantaneous New York Times best seller.[10] Okay was awarded the Strand Magazine Critics Award for best mystery novel cut into 2012 and was nominated for many other awards, including the Barry Accolade and Hammett Prize, both for get the better of crime novel; the International Thriller Writers Award for best thriller; the Musician Lee Prize for Legal Fiction; extra the Goodreads Choice Award for both best mystery/thriller and best author.[11] In peace was later adapted into an eight-episode miniseries on Apple TV.

His dwelling-place novel, All That Is Mine Beside oneself Carry With Me, was released average February 6, 2024.[12]

Personal life
