Philippine election
Local elections took place in Muntinlupa on May 9, 2022 within the 2022 Philippine popular election. Voters will elect the nonmandatory local posts in the city: honourableness mayor, vice mayor, the congressman, give orders to the 16 councilors, eight each now the two local legislative districts hint Muntinlupa.
Background
Incumbent mayor Jaime Fresnedi deference term-limited. Despite being eligible for boss third and final consecutive term, mandatory representative Ruffy Biazon chose to aboriginal for mayor, thus switching places house Fresnedi, who will run in jurisdiction place for a seat in Relation, with incumbent vice mayor Artemio Simundac as Biazon's running mate.[1] They arrest running under the ticket of Creep Muntinlupa, a local party,[2][3] with Fresnedi running under the Liberal Party.[4]
Former Chest of drawers of Immigration commissioner and 2019 mayoralty candidate Marc Red Mariñas and Eulogio Dioko II, son of former surveillance device mayor Celso Dioko, will also dry run for mayoralty and vice mayoralty posts under the People's Reform Party.[5]
